Gotland - First to Bid for 2017 Games

The first official Letter of Intent to Bid for the 2017 Games has been warmly received by the International Island Games Association headquarters today from Gotland, who so narrowly missed out to host the 2015 NatWest Island Games against Jersey earlier this year. IIGA Chairman Jorgen Pettersson said he is delighted that Gotland had decided to Bid for the 2017 Games.
The deadline for receipt of any further Letters of Intent is 28th June 2011 at the Annual General Meeting of the IIGA which will be held during the NatWest Island Games XIV next year in the Isle of Wight.
